Sandra brings a long history of establishing networks and thriving peer groups, including the
Sydney BAG, a creative community of 10 book art makers.
1992-95 BVA Hons Canberra School of Art, Australian National University ANU
1994 Prague Academy of Arts AVU, Czech Republic -established the exchange program between ANU and AVU
1999-2007 Proprietor of Broadway Betty, Sydney, with a staff of 12 neurodiverse creatives
2010 - 2025 Worked casually for Art Est Art School and Gallery, facilitating community drop-in workshops, exhibition installs, particularly involved with the GreenWay Festival and Art Prize
2011-19 Open Artist Access, Printmedia, SCA, University of Sydney
2011- 19 A founding member of the Sydney BAG (Book Art Group) - monthly meetups - Curating/facilitating
projects included 2013 Sydney Writers Festival installation at Sydney Wharf, and at Volume- an artist book
festival held by Artspace in 2015
2011 -2020 alongthegreenway.blogspot.com was included as a community link on Inner West Council’s
GreenWay pages. It captures my community arts projects like the GreenWay Playhouse in 2011, the
GreenWay Art Prize, Inner West Birdo Group and environmental connections
2013 Facilitated painting classes for FRANS (renamed Participate Australia), Croydon
2017-18 mentor and support for artist Digby Webster
2022 and 2024 invited to work at the North Sydney Art Prize as the artists’ meet‑and‑greet, specifically for
my cheerleading, relational support style and my ability to make artists feel welcome and heard throughout
the entire program. Other roles as an exhibition invigilator/artist assistant/installer and as the literal
gatekeeper during all of the North Sydney Art Prize exhibition and install/deinstall period
